nADA is a 100% paper bag with integrated window area that is fully recyclable.

nADA is a translation from a product consisting of multiple materials – the traditional bread bag – to a product made of a monomaterial. The functionality of a plastic window is included in the paper. This seemingly small innovation has an important advantage: the bag becomes fully recyclable. This simplicity combined with the impact charmed the jury.

What does this award mean to you?

This award is an affirmation that we are doing well, that we are on the right track in terms of ecology. We want to conquer the world with this and we can see many other possibilities.

How did the idea for this project come about?

In fact, it came about by accident, by testing, searching and trying a lot of things, but also failing. We've really thrown ourselves into the development. We’re working with Siris and VLAIO to make it a real success.

What makes your project so special?

The main advantage of nADA is that it consists of a recyclable monomaterial. Creating transparency in the paper itself has a major ecological impact. It’s also cheaper and easier to produce than the current window bag with a plastic window. And it’s more economical for the customer.
