Tomorrowland is one of the largest music festivals in the world. First held in 2005, Tomorrowland is organised by the original founders, brothers Manu and Michiel Beers and their team. It takes place every summer and stretches over 2 weekends, welcoming 400,000 people from all over the world.
We Are One World, the company behind Tomorrowland, counts almost 200 coworkers. All concepts are designed and developed in the office in Antwerp and the atelier in Schelle. Tomorrowland's in-house design team includes 3D artists, videographers and graphic designers. To build the festival, create the magic and service the festivalgoers, artists and neighbours, many Belgian designers and suppliers are involved.
Over the past 18 years, Tomorrowland has evolved into a global entertainment brand thanks to activities such as the apparel & accessories label TML by Tomorrowland, record label Tomorrowland Music and Tomorrowland Fiction. With the sustainability platform Love Tomorrow and the Tomorrowland Foundation, supporting children in developing countries by giving them the chance to express themselves creatively, the company strives for a positive impact on our society.
“As Tomorrowland we have a certain amount of influence, which we are eager to use to do good in our own community and far beyond it”
The jury decided to award the Company Award to Tomorrowland, a company and festival who make excellent use of design throughout their organisation, for all employees and festival attendees. They use design in many areas, from service and experience design to product and graphic design. Tomorrowland has an international presence and year after year, has continued to apply a strategy which inextricably links design, innovation, experience, organisation and safety. Additionally, Tomorrowland is committed to the further development of its sustainability policy.
