Urbanisto

Urbanisto is a modular biking solution where you can easily switch between a regular electric bike, a family cargo bike or a practical cargo bike. The bike responds to the changing needs of cyclists. As a consumer, you only need to invest in one electric drive system, which significantly reduces maintenance and repair costs. With easily connectable modules at the front, you create different mobility solutions in no time.

The Urbanisto offers a solution for more flexible use of the cargo bike. Being able to choose a cargo bike or a regular bike as and when needed gives a new dimension to family transportation via bikes. The settings are simple and also offer new possibilities for storage and transport.

How did the idea for this project come about? 

Initially, this project came about at the client’s request. Starting with the vision of creating a circular product, we worked together to further develop the idea of a shareable biking solution.

What makes your project so special?

As a start-up in Flanders, launching a new bike brand with a new product from scratch is no easy task. A particularly big challenge is to create a product which can be produced at a competitive price, and which also looks good.
