The Jerusalem Tram is a Citadis tram from Alstom.
A similar tram rides through Rotterdam, Barcelona, Dublin and Grenoble. The added value of the design and the story behind this product involves the adaptation of both the interior and the exterior to the local situation and the needs of the user (the operator and the passenger). Travelling between East and West Jerusalem, the tram focuses on peace and tolerance in a city that is literally split between two cultures. For this reason, great attention has been paid to comfort, security, maintenance, anti-vandalism and anti-terrorism features. Another original aspect of this project was the involvement of the local community in the selection of the design of the external 'head' of the tram, thus reinforcing its positive image with the user.
